Try to limit all traffic on your new lawn during the first month after installation. Doing so gives the lawn the opportunity to establish its root system and take to the soil.

Don’t attempt to mow your lawn before week three. Before mowing for the first time, check to see if the lawn can be lifted. If so, it hasn’t had enough time to bond with the soil and mowing may pull up the lawn and damage it. It is best to wait until the roots have established and the lawn cannot be lifted from the soil.
